I'm still very excited about going to the U of W. In fact, here's me being excited:
However... I have to do my FAFSA (Funny story: Every once in a while the Filipino American Student Union will get a call asking, "Hey, I have a question about my FAFSA..." Get it? FAFSA... FASA???). Anyway, in order to do my FAFSA I have to do our taxes. My accountant just filed an extension for us. We have got to get that done! But I digress. I also have to review the summer schedule. It is my plan to take a class this summer as a non-matriculated student. I can hopefully get a tuitiion waiver. What's really cool is that I'll be able to transfer the credits into my program.
Well, I'll be honest, I'm a bit nervous about all of this. Luckily, the other day while I was finishing up my workout at the Lummi Fitness Center, an elder who is now my buddy said these very encouraging words to me after I explained my quest at the U of W: "Well, anything worth having is hard work." Some people have a way of saying just the right thing when you need it. Or, maybe you are just ready to hear it and it was always there.
